Tap in time with the beat ring that pulses on the ice — one tap per long stroke, left then right. A steady rhythm keeps your speed up; missing the beat slows you down.
Press and hold to tuck in behind the skater ahead of you in your treintje. Tucking shelters you from the wind on open stretches of ice and on the Weissensee's exposed legs.
Swipe left or right ahead of time to move to a clear line. A wak is always flagged by a broom stuck upright in the ice, so you'll see it coming.
When the route leaves the ice, your skater walks across straw mats and planks on the bank. Tap once per step to keep moving — just like the real tours, where skaters carry their skates over land between stretches of ice.
A stall visit restores stamina but always costs a little time, so it's a trade-off rather than a mistake — there's nothing to undo. If you're racing for the kruisje, skip the stall next time.
Klunen only asks for camera or photo access if you choose to add a portrait to your stempelkaart. You can decline and keep playing with the default card.
